This workshop will discuss the difference between Natural and Man-made satellites and how man-made satellites are used globally for communication purposes and navigation (the three satellite orbits).
We call satellites our “”eyes in the sky”” so visitors to the workshop will learn how SANSA uses these satellites to enrich South Africa by monitoring all activities and our natural resources. They will learn about how we use satellites for Remote Sensing – the scanning of the earth by satellite or high-flying aircraft in order to obtain information about it.
