Phytoplankton: Secrets of the Ocean Food Web

Learners will use their own microscopes to identify and classify microscopic animals and also use light microscopy to zoom into the tiny world of phytoplankton using fresh samples.

Activity: “Who eats who?”
Understanding the ocean food web, and the importance of phytoplankton. Learners will build food webs and think about the relationships between different organisms in the ocean. This will also show how humans form part of these relationships.
