Can you really launch marshmallows out of a vacuum cleaner, make rockets from common household items, or launch teddy bears using liquid nitrogen? Prepare yourself for some seriously mind-bending science, as Dr Graham explodes his way through the chemistry and physics of things that go bubble, boom, bang and occasionally catch fire. With loads of audience involvement, laughs, exciting experiments, brain-rattling explosions, and learning, this action-packed show is a celebration of the fun in science!
Dr Graham Walker (@DrGrahams) is a science communication teacher, researcher and practitioner based at the Australian National University, where he convenes the Masters of Science Communication Outreach program. He’s interested in capacity building and development, emotional and motivational aspects, and communication of social and environmental issues, particularly in settings like science centres, science shows and hands-on workshops. He loves doing science shows and blowing things up and often says his greatest life achievement is making a career out of what he used to get in trouble for as a kid.
