Zanele Sogodi’s interest in designing was creating traditional clothing. She established the business Ukhuni Upholstery Primary Co-operation in 2017 with four other people. Their main focus is upholstery for households and cars which had helped her to pay for her children’s school fees. She then ventured into sewing, Sigodi felt to have found her true calling. She is inspired in teaching youth skills and living a legacy on traditional craft creation. She has sold works in festivals including Macufe, Rand Easter Show and The National Arts Festival in Makanda.
