Peyi, a visual artist, was born in a small township of Ikhwezi near Mdantsane in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He is a painter, printmaker and sculptor. His interest in fine art commenced at a very young age drawing cars and people, especially his parents and siblings. His love for art thrived when he got accepted for National Diploma in Water Sisulu University. As an artist, he enjoys painting and sculpting than any other mediums. In painting, he enjoys oil paints than acrylic. Growing up in an unprivileged background made a very huge role in his life.
