Rob has been tinkering around in a workshop since his childhood, but, being a farmer, never had much time to make things until the continued droughts forced him into making wooden products for sale. He is now retired and able to work on making things for various markets in the area as well as working on commissioned items. A member of the Grahamstown Woodworkers' Group, Rob enjoys woodwork as his (full-time) hobby!
His work includes dining tables, coffee tables, bedside tables, and kitchen items such as pepper mills, chopping boards, cheese boards, rotating spice racks, carving boards, wooden bowls, biltong slicers, spatulas etc. He also makes toilet roll holders, trays, lazy Susan's, jewellery boxes, key racks, lamps, walking sticks, hat/coat racks, towel racks, back scratchers, wooden pens and pencils, and many other wooden items you may require. All items are made from solid woods such as Kiaat, Blackwood, Oak etc. His turned bowls are made from indigenous woods
