The Eastern Cape Craft Collection, started in 2016, supports and promotes local Eastern Cape crafters and designers. The Eastern Cape Craft Collection is a marketing platform set up to assist Eastern Cape crafters and designers develop their small businesses into sustainable and thriving businesses. The initiative is funded and supported by the Eastern Cape Development Corporation and the Department of Small Business Development.
It is situated in the Nahoon Shopping Centre on Old Transkei Road, Nahoon, East London. It carries a curated selection of high quality Eastern Cape craft products ranging from traditional beadwork (jewellery and accessories) to traditional clay work, traditional garments, contemporary African garments and jewellery, accessories such as bags, hats, scarves, gloves, shoes, belts, homeware products such as ceramics, placemats, table runners, serviettes, hand embroidered products such as cushions and kitchen ware, knitted products, woven products such as rugs, grass work products and woodwork products.
Items can be bought directly from the shop in Nahoon, East London or online via the website or Facebook page. Products can be couriered anywhere in the country.
