From being a painter at his father’s employer’s house to having his talent recognized and some of his products sold to visiting US Superstar Neil Diamond, Nelson Mandela Bay ceramic Sculptor Amos Senzela has made strides in the creative industry. He was born in Mt Ayliff and moved to Nelson Mandela Bay as his farther was working as gardener in the city. He grew up as a young boy with his peers experimenting with clay by making domestic animals sculptures with clay. His talent was discovered by his father’s employer Lynnley Watson who encouraged him to enroll at the Nelson Mandela Metro University formerly known as PE Technikon. Amos Senzela has participated in many group exhibitions including the Annual Eastern Cape Visual Arts Exhibition held at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda. His dream is to have his solo exhibition.
