The Standard Bank Village Green Fair is host to around 300 top-quality crafters, traders, food vendors and artists. Handpicked for their fine work and dedication to their craft, most of these artists are present to talk to you, and to showcase their work.

In 2018, the market moved to a new home – the fields of Victoria Girls High School in Beaufort Street. Visitors are invited to enjoy the convivial village market atmosphere, with plenty of space as well as a many nooks and crannies to explore. The reinvigorated Village Green has multiple smaller tents, different trading zones, a food court, performance stages, a family zone, an upmarket beer tent as well as exhibitions.

Give yourself a couple of hours (or days!) to explore the Fair: there are plenty of gorgeous handmade items, jewellery and clothes on sale as well as delicious food from a wide variety of vendors. Street artists perform throughout the day and activities such as puppet shows and clowning ensure the children have plenty to keep them happily occupied.

  • The Standard Bank Village Green Fair is open every day of the Festival from 9am to 5pm
