The Drawn lines poster wall consists of 15 posters designed by Judy Ann Seidman; some for the Medu Art Ensemble in Botswana between 1980 and 1985, and others on socio-political concerns in Southern Africa from 1985 to the present, including for Codesa and Cosatu, as well as around considerations of HIV and gender. They provide an important commentary on the issues confronting South Africa over the past 35 years. These posters are from Seidman's fuller retrospective, Drawn lines, at Museum Africa from August 2019 to January 2020. They were originally variously printed in silkscreen or litho; current copies for sale are commercially produced.
