In this session, parents and learners will learn how to make their own ice cream using simple ingredients found in the kitchen. Essentials include milk/dairy-free milk alternative/half and half, ice, Zip-lock bags, salt, sugar, vanilla extract, chocolate or strawberry syrup  is optional

You will need:
½ cup (125 mL) of Half & Half (or milk or non-dairy alternative)
1 tablespoon (15 mL) granulated sugar
½ teaspoon (5 mL) vanilla extract
8-10 tablespoons (~1/2 cup or 125 mL) salt
Sandwich size bag (small plastic zip bag)
Gallon size bag (large plastic zip bag)
Toppings optional: chocolate or strawberry syrup, sprinkles, etc…
