“Arbor Week is celebrated annually in the first week of September – acknowledging the beauty and importance of indigenous trees, whilst raising awareness and actively greening over this period. This year, the week will be observed from 31st August to 4th September.

KwaZulu-Natal Museum’s Chief Education Officer for Outreach, Marsha Kalika, joined Scifest Africa to discuss the importance of Arbour Week within the context of greening, companion planting and Spekboom. Kalika also encouraged us to try seed bombs as a planting technique.”
