Sabelo was born in Enqaza on the outskirts of East London in the Eastern Cape. His currently doing his Diploma in Fine Arts, he specialises in ceramics and painting. He has participated in numerous exhibitions such as, The Sasol new signature in 2018 and 2019. His artworks have sold in the opening of the National Arts Festival in Makanda in 2019.
